Malaysia’s Energy Transition: Is The Valley Of Disillusionment Avoidable?

The energy transition is gaining steam across the globe, but are end-consumers convinced of the benefits?

Last year, investment in low-carbon technologies topped 1.1trillion US Dollars, with the war in Ukraine and resulting energy crisis acting as a catalyst to fast-track spending.

Consulting firm EY notes that analysts say this rapid injection of capital may have shaved up to 10 years off the energy transition timeline, but their new global consumer survey indicates that consumers may not be as confident in the energy transition as policy makers and activists might be.

To get a better understanding of this and what Malaysia can learn to have a better energy transition path, we’ll be speaking with Mark Bennett, EY Asia-Pacific Energy & Resources Customer Experience Transformation Leader
