Now There’s Wellbeing Washing?

Now There’s Wellbeing Washing?

We all know of greenwashing, whitewashing. But there’s this new term called Wellbeing Washing.

The Britain's Healthiest Workplace survey by a health insurer Vitality has highlighted that more people are getting anxiety and mental illness, leading to unproductive working.

And while some employers have started to show interest in employee wellbeing, it seems that some employers just pretend to care.

That’s known as wellbeing washing. And how many companies are doing this? More than half of employers, based on the UK survey.

We discuss this with Dr Anasuya Jegathevi Jegathesan, Dean of Psychology and Social Sciences, University of Cyberjaya.
