Ageing Independently

An ageing population is defined as one in which those aged 65 years and above make up at least 15 percent of the total population. According to a statement by Malaysia’s Chief Statistician in July 2019, the 15 percent threshold would be crossed in 2030. So how ready are we for the silver tsunami?

Oretha’s Senior Concierge Malaysia was designed to provide a personalised non-medical support system to seniors who want to live independently. In today’s evolving world, many families are moving abroad either for businesses or future prospects. Those on local soil here live in a fast paced environment and are unable to provide the care needed for their parents. Oretha Herrera, Founder talks about what goes into minding the elderly.
