Lessons from the Co-founder of Starbucks

On 31st March 1971, history teacher Zev Siegl and his two friends Jerry Baldwin and Gordon Bowker opened the very first Starbucks store in Seattle, Washington. Back then, Starbucks sold only whole roasted coffee beans, and did not brew coffee to sell… yet! Fast forward 46 years, Starbucks now has over 27,000 stores in 70 countries. On this episode of Enterprise, Zev Siegl speaks fondly about how he set up the coffee empire and what entrepreneurs can learn from his decades of startup experience.
