While there are tax breaks and incentives intended for SMEs, the criteria for eligibility is not always consistent with the definition of an SME. The second edition of the book 100 Ways to Save Tax in Malaysia for SMEs has been released, taking into account the 2014 budget. Richard Thornton, author and chartered tax advisor decodes the situation for us; and highlights some action points for businesses in preparation for the GST.
