AI Ethics: Enabler or Barrier to Innovation?

As we move towards the adoption of 5G, AI ethics has emerged to be a key factor in driving the uptake and acceleration of sustainable innovation. Good governance of AI will be critical in making sure that AI systems are transparent, non-discriminatory, safe and secure. We speak to Dr. Ieva Martinkenaite, Telenor Research VP for AI & IoT, about the need for AI ethics. She leads the Telenor-NTNU AI-Lab, a national powerhouse for AI and Machine Learning in Norway, and is one of the 52 experts in the European Commission’s High Level Expert Group on AI that recommends AI-related policy development in Europe.
