Designing An IoT World

In about 3 years time, a typical family home will contain as many as 500 networked devices. From toasters to TV’s, toilets to air conditioning units, heck even your wardrobe and clothes. That’s the IOT dream. And it is this rising trend that is forcing businesses to rethink their product design strategies and how it will bring added values to their customers. It’s an exciting time ahead for us as consumers but surreal to some businesses whom do not know where to start. So, do we need a change of design paradigm to meet IoT requirements? How do we extend the value of products with IoT?
