The Hybrid Cloud Business Model

The idea of a network-based computing actually dates all the way back to 1960s, but many believe that the first use of cloud computing in its modern context happened in 2006 and since then, it has continued to evolve. Today, the latest buzzword is the hybrid cloud, one that combines the benefit of both the private and public cloud. It gives businesses the ability to be efficient and agile, and brings new products and services to the market faster and all that. But are Malaysian businesses taking advantage of this model, and what are some of the challenges that lies ahead? We speak to Henrick Choo, Managing Director for Dimension Data Malaysia and Manish Pratap, NGDC Solution Business Unit for Dimension Data Asia Pacific.
