Saving Lives with PIES

Sometimes, a hero that saves lives doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves especially today with the advent of technology. PIES for example, not the food, but PIES stands for Platform Intrusion Emergency Stop. It’s a system that immediately halts an approaching train upon detecting an object on the track. Now you may think just how many people would accidentally fall on a train track; you’d be surprised. Just last year, there was a pregnant woman who fell on the LRT track, but thankfully, PIES was there to rescue here. Here with me today to talk about this technology is Lian Wah Seng, the CEO of Azti.
