The cybersecurity world has been rocked by major incidents recently. Last month, the Mirai botnet brought down huge major internet companies like Netflix, Spotify, Reddit and so fourth. And over in Singapore, telco player Starhub for the short end of the stick with TWO major outages to its home broadband network which were caused by targeted DDoS attacks on its servers. The world we live in, seems a little bit scarier than what we thought. Nick FitzGerald, a renowned information security expert and also ESET’s Senior Research Fellow talks about the increasing threats of connected devices and how to stay safe online.
