Are We Being Spied On?

In July last year, Hacking Team was a victim of a major hack where information about its client list was leaked and posted on Twitter. In that list of clients, 3 entries were very close to our hearts: The Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission, Malaysia Intelligence and the Prime Minister’s Office. One of the software purchased by the Malaysian government was the Da Vinci remote control system, a Trojan horse. However recently, the government has denied any truth in purchasing any of those. We bring back Keith Rozario, tech evangelist from keithrozario.com to explain to us what a system like Da Vinci can do and why it is vital for us to understand the risks involving spyware.
