According to the Malaysia National ICT Association or better known as PIKOM, the number of IT graduates produced each year, which numbers about 30,000 is not enough to cater to the growth of the industry. Scary isn’t it? To help overcome this, Cloudera, a provider of data management and analytics platform built on Apache Hadoop, recently launched BASE, Big Analytics Skills Enablement, initiative in Malaysia. Doug Cutting, the Chief Architect for Cloudera explains.
