The Opportunity in eCommerce

The Asia Pacific e-Commerce sector is experiencing an unprecedented boom. eMarketer estimates that by 2016, 38% of all business-to-consumer e-commerce sales will come from Asia-Pacific, while Ernst & Young estimates that the number of middle class consumers with disposable incomes and fast internet connections in emerging markets will grow from the current 525 million to some three billion people by 2030. So the opportunity and growth is there, but how do you go about it in your business? Jason Miller, Chief Strategist of Commerce at Akamai Technologies from San Francisco talks about the implementation strategy, challenges and the way forward for the e-commerce sector.
