EY: Beyond IT to Totality

Recently EY Malaysia launched an industry-wide survey report on IT Risk Management (ITRM) titled “Beyond IT to totality”, the first of its kind in Malaysia, that shares the need for Malaysian banks to plan ahead in realigning their ITRM activities beyond the basic “day-to-day” operations. The report proposes that a “3R” strategy – Realign, Refocus and Refresh – is useful for banks to minimize IT risks and focus their activities in strategic business areas moving forward. Jade Leong, Advisory Partner (IT Risk and Assurance) for EY Malaysia talks about the report’s key findings and implications.
