Who Are Hacking Team?

An Italian developer of surveillance software, Hacking Team, which has previously been sharply criticized by digital activists recently suffered a large data breach. Hacking Team develops surveillance tools that are legally sold to governments for law-abiding investigations. And from the leaked information, it revealed that the Malaysian government was among the countries buying services from Hacking Team. Malaysia isn’t the only country. The list includes Colombia, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Thailand and Poland to name a few. So what is this all about? Goh Su Gim, Security Advisor, APAC at F-Secure talks about who are the Hacking Team and should you be worried.
