Into The Deep: What It Takes To Recover MH370's Black Box

For three weeks now, satellites, planes and ships have been deployed to scour huge areas of the Indian Ocean for clues on MH370. Today we take a closer look at some of the hardware involved in this difficult search, in one of the most inhospitable corners of the planet.

BFM's Melisa Idris speaks to Pete LeHardy with Phoenix International in Largo, Maryland in the US.

Phoenix International is an expert in the field of undersea search and recovery, and has worked on the location and recovery of lost aircraft in Adam Air Flight 574 in 2007, and Air France Flight 447 in 2009.

The company also operates and maintains the US Navy's inventory of underwater search and recovery equipment.
