Last week, PAS President and Malaysia’s Special Envoy to the Middle-East Hadi Awang met with Taliban envoys in Doha. Following that, a spokesman for the Taliban said that Hadi promised that Malaysia would do what it could for the Afghan people, prompting criticism that Hadi had spoken too quick on support for Afghanistan's Taliban government. We get into the implications of this, as well as our diplomatic approach toward the Talibans.
