In the name of Journalism

He was reporting in Egypt for Al Jazeera back in 2013 when he was suddenly arrested, placed in solitary confinement, and subsequently charged with threatening national security. The accusation came without proof and after a sham trial, he was given a 7-year sentence. He spent 400 days in prison before being he was deported back to Australia. And since then, he's been actively advocating for press freedom and free speech. This World Press Freedom Day, The Evening Edition humbly features journalist, Peter Greste.
