InFocus: Lunchdate

How times have changed. Once upon a time it seemed to be relatively straightforward to find a partner. You might have been introduced via a friend, your family may have introduced you, or maybe you just bumped into them somewhere by accident and romance blossomed.

Nowadays things are different. We’re all so busy. So consumed by our daily lives that rarely do many of us see the outside of the four-walls of our office. This can make meeting a partner extremely difficult.

Over the past few years there have been a proliferation of services offered that help to point us in the right direction. There’s Ok Cupid, Match.Com,  eharmony and numerous other websites. More recently we’ve seen dating/hook up apps appear in the relevant stores. Grouper, Plenty of Fish and the controversial, yet very popular Tinder.

All of these apps enable us to look for love on the go. But there are times when some of us might want something a little more, a little bit more traditional. A lunch date perhaps.

Think about it; it’s ideal. There’s a time limit, it’s often in a public space so that you can bail if things don’t go well, and there’s very little pressure.

But what if you need to look for someone specific - someone from your own background or religion? That’s where Gina comes in.
