To explore and explain the relationship between religion and political freedom in theory, history and contemporary practice we spoke with Political Scientist Timothy Shah, an associate director of the Religious Freedom Project at the Berkley Centre for religion, Peace and World Affairs and visiting assistant professor in the Government Department, Georgetown University and Eric Treene the Special Counsel for Religious Discrimination Office of the Assistant Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice.
