Jo Paoletti, a professor of American Studies and author of the book, Pink and Blue: Telling the Girls from the Boys in America, shares the colourful tale of how these two shades first became gendered, the implications it's had, and the changing attitudes that may or may not suggest it's less desirable for a girl to love the colour pink.
