Popcorn Culture - Review: The Lighthouse

For years, the lonely existence of the lighthouse keeper has popped up in stories, both written and on screen. In this psychological thriller, starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe (no slouches in the intensity stakes), director Robert Eggers takes it a few steps further, telling a tale of two lighthouse keepers struggling to keep a handle on their sanity. We discuss the experience of watching this film and whether some of its experimentations play well on screen.
