Happily Ever After? #7: Disobedient Fairy Tales

Happily Ever After? -- the show where we revisit the fairy tales we fell in love with once upon a time. Fairy tales are known for their simplicity and versatility- making them the perfect stories to retell and revisit. While most modern retellings perpetuate feel-good tales with happy endings, there are some that use magic and myth to go against the grain. In this episode, we take a look at Pan's Labyrinth, a 2006 film by Guillermo del Toro that draws inspiration from classics like Little Red Riding Hood and Sleeping Beauty to create a dark and disobedient fairy tale.
