What’s In A Patriotic Song?

We celebrate Merdeka and Malaysia Day by turning our sights on patriotic music, and how they help to formulate and shape an individual's national identity. In this episode, Dr Shazlin Amir Hamzah, research fellow at the Institute of Ethnic studies in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia joins us to talk about what a good patriotic song entails, and the ways it influences our ideas of patriotism.
