Top 5 at 5: Federal Court Rules in SIS' Favour

Muslim women’s rights group Sisters in Islam has won its nearly 11-year-long court challenge against a Selangor fatwa that labelled them as "sesat" or deviant from Islamic teachings. Rozana Isa, executive director of the group joins us to talk about this win.

Other stories we covered:

• Stricter rules, safer roads: Tighter commercial vehicle inspections have long been in the pipeline—now, they're finally being enforced, though not without renewed public scrutiny after a string of fatal crashes involving heavy vehicles. We speak to associate professor Law Teik Hwa from UPM’s Road Safety Research Center about why these reforms are important.

• Men's role in fertility: Long overlooked in fertility discourse, men are now the subject of government-backed initiatives, including awareness roadshows and targeted health programmes. We hear insights from Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist Dr Agilan Arjunan.

• Klang River being brought back to life: Part of the Selangor Maritime Gateway project, the river has seen major cleanup efforts and improved water quality. We talked to Kali Kalithasan, river care coordinator at the NGO, Global Environment Centre about this.

• Privacy for politicians: A hospital photo of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang—shared by the Health Minister—has sparked backlash over patient privacy and political optics. While the image was swiftly removed, criticism from Hadi’s son reignited debates about boundaries between public figures and personal dignity. We talk about this.
