This morning a march took place to deliver a memorandum calling for the Sedition Act to be repealed, following the investigation of Borneo Komrad founder and activist Mukmin Nantang under the Sedition Act, because of its coverage on the controversial eviction of the Bajau Laut people from the Tun Sakaran Marine Park. We reached out to Muhammad Alshatri of the youth organisation, Liga Rakyat Demokratik, who participated in the demonstration.

An X user and public transport advocate @slainthayer had recently visited all 59 KTM Komuter stations to check on the state of some of the facilities, where he observed broken escalators & inaccessible toilets plague our KTM stations. We reached out to public transport advocates Slainthayer himself on why he carried this survey and revisit a conversation with Nischal Muniandy, a committee member of Transit Malaysia, on what accessibility looks like in public transport.

1. Our top story: There has been a rise in HIV cases among tertiary students. The Higher Education Ministry, citing figures from the Health Ministry, said there were 214 HIV cases involving tertiary students in 2020. The number went up to 221 cases in 2022 and 244 cases last year. Dr Anjanna Kukreja, Infectious Diseases Physician from University Malaya Medical Centre, joins us to share her thoughts on this concerning trend.
