Top 5 at 5: Selangor Bankruptcy Highest in Malaysia

According to the Malaysian Insolvency Department, Selangor records more bankruptcy cases than any other state in Malaysia, with most coming from the public sector including teachers. Experts explain that civil servants with fixed incomes are likely to have loans approved, but it could lead to bankruptcy if the money is mismanaged. • Malaysia unveils new education development plan: Some of the major announcements will see Year 1 starting at six years old, the introduction of a new standardised assessment called the Malaysian Learning Matrix and technology and digital TVET training being introduced to primary and secondary schools in 2027. • Grab drivers solicit tips: A Facebook post gained some chatter online when a Grab driver sent a user additional messages asking for tips for petrol among other expenses.
