We spoke to Zul BabaNoor, Miri Arts Festival communications director about what to expect from the festival.

4. The passing of anthropologist James C. Scott, who was known for his work that looks at how 'powerless' groups in society use their own means to assert their interest, based on his research of 70 families in a Kedah village. Professor Datuk Dr AB Shamsul director of the Institute of Ethnic Studies at UKM shares his thoughts on what impact Scott had.

3. The Olympics Games Opening Ceremony in Paris, set to be the first time that a stadium will not be used to held the games. The city of Paris will instead be turned into a stadium. We get into what that would look like.

2. The Court of Appeal's decision to sentence six former UPNM students to death for the murder of Cadet Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain, overturning an 18-year old prison sentence meted out by the High Court in November 2021. Tham Jia Vern, a Research Lead at Hayat shares her thoughts.
