Absentee Voting for East Malaysians

The non-partisan civil society group, Rise of Sarawak Efforts, has recently been working on an absentee voting campaign, proposing that East Malaysian voters living in the Peninsular be given the right to be absentee voters.

Absentee voting means these voters will not have to travel back to their home constituency to vote.

Ann Teo, chairperson for ROSE tells us why they are fighting to have the existing regulation on absentee voters changed.
