PMD - Cutting The Fat

The Prime Minister’s Department (PMD) will see a massive overhaul with over 90 agencies and departments being streamlined to 26 entities. Nine agencies have also been given the green light to operate as independent entities and that will report directly to Parliament. Among them are the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, the Election Commission, Human Rights Commission of Malaysia and the National Audit Department.

Simon Lim, a member of the board of governors from the Center For A Better Tomorrow, or CENBET, shares his thoughts on this move.

Presented by: Joyce Goh, Melisa Idris, Sharaad Kuttan
