Football - Payday Mayday

Malaysian football has been hit by yet another salary crisis recently after three teams, who were all playing in the Super League last season, failed to pay some RM4.5 million in salaries to their players. While the fiasco has been primarily blamed on players and teams for engaging in shady deals, other factors have come under scrutiny including the aspect of football governance. Today, BFM explores why footballers continue to suffer at the hands of their employers.

This is a report by Shawn Tanis.
