India’s Demonetisation - What’s In it For The People?

The demonetisation deadline for using 500 and 1,000 Rupee notes in India ended last night, in which chaos is expected.

Amid the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to demonetise 500 and 1 thousand rupee notes, mad scrambles erupted outside of banks with people spending long hours in queues, to exchange old notes for new ones, without any guarantee of success.

BFM explores how this policy affects people from all social class across in the country.

This is a report by Wan Irdina.
