Who Will Be The Next Spiritual Leader?

PAS Spiritual Leader, Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat's passing has observers speculating as to whether his deputy, Dato' Haron Din, will rise up the ranks to become the next Mursyidul Am -- the highest position in the Syura Council chaired by the party’s clerics.

We speak to Eddin Khoo, a political observer on PAS, and Khalid Samad, PAS member and Shah Alam MP, on Haron Din’s leadership and how it could shape the direction of the Islamist party.

Aziff Azuddin and Umapagan Ampikaipakan contributed to this report.
