Two weeks ago, the PAWS Animal Welfare Society was served an eviction notice from the Selangor government informing them that their shelter was occupying state land illegally. The furore reached its tipping point yesterday with animal lovers expressing discontent and anger over social media. The welfare of over 500 animals hung in balance. But a reprieve has come after a meeting with Selangor MB Azmin Ali, who suspended the eviction notice. We explore the facts of the case.
