Stuck In Transit: Refugees In The Trump Age
In January, US President Donald Trump issued a controversial order temporarily restricting entry of people from seven Muslim-majority countries to the United States and halting the refugee resettlement program. Trump has pledged to enforce the ban, despite U.S. court suspending it earlier this month.

However, since the U.S. is the top resettlement destination, the possibility of an immigration ban has thrown uncertainty onto the fate of refugees hoping to to resettle there, including those transiting from Malaysia.

Today on Current Affairs, we explore how the immigration ban affects the millions of refugees hoping to begin a new life in another country as their options for host countries dwindle.

This is a report by Tan Zhai Yun.
