The construction sector expanded by 7.4%, moderating from 10.1% growth in the previous quarter. This does mark the third month of softening construction growth, reflecting industry reports that activity has been slowing. What’s ahead for the Malaysian construction industry - will the downward trend continue or is their upside in the later months of the year? We discuss the sector outlook with Loong Chee Wei of Affin Hwang Investment Bank.
