- is it time to consider emerging markets equities and bonds after the selldown?

- not quite seen the bottom yet so can still wait

- currencies have been hard hit but this is not quite Asian Financial Crisis 

- US QE has prevented emerging markets currencies from weakening 

- perhaps catch-up time to strengthen exports

- bond investors may consider higher yield equity options but generally may have to see through the volatile period

- macro funds are taking a contrarian stance as they still believe in the long term structural benefits of EM
