Sales Hike for Japan, Good for Inflation but Bad for the Economy?

Carlos Casanova, Chief Asian Economist with Coface, reminds us that the sales tax hike coming this October might push Japan into recession like it did 5 years ago but ironically help the government to achieve its inflation target. He also tells us that China needs to do more to stimulate the economy via both monetary and fiscal policies but in a targeted manner to avoid any bubble.
