Softbank is going splurge $32b to buy over ARM Holdings whose microprocessors power most of the world's handphones. ARM is also British which gives a kind of silver lining for UK firms in the aftermath of Brexit. On the other hand, Abenomics and the performance of the yen will no doubt have some bearing on Japanese M&A activity.
