Impact From The Changing Of Guard At BNM

The Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Muhammad Ibrahim resigned yesterday, after just two years of a five-year term. This is amid criticism that the former government used funds from the central bank’s recent land deal to pay 1MDB debts.

We speak to Vishnu about this. We ask him if he thinks there will be continuity and whether the change of guard would have any impact to Malaysia's monetary policy. He also shares his thoughts on the potential successor to the role.

We also discuss the Ringgit and markets.
