After a historic rout earlier in the week, Chinese equity markets rallied on the back of announcements that the government will act to stabilise financial markets. China’s top financial policy committee also promised to ease a regulatory crackdown while also providing support for property and technology companies. Will this be enough to calm jittery investors?
