When US President Donald Trump announced sweeping trade tariffs, the greenback, as measured by the Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index, recorded its largest drop on record. Meanwhile, Asia's trade-sensitive currencies also tumbled to multiyear lows, with Southeast Asian assets bearing the brunt of the sell-off.
