Last Friday Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced salary increases ranging from 7 to 15 percent for the civil service. We speak to Dr Lee Hwok-Aun, Senior Fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute whether the pay hikes are justified and the possible implications for economic growth and productivity.
