The recent cancellation of the High-Speed Rail project connecting Kuala Lumpur to Singapore has raised questions over the conduct and transparency of megaprojects here in the country. Mixed messages, opaque governance, and political appointments to the GLCs surrounding these projects do not make matters easier, so we reached out to Tricia Yeoh, CEO of the Institute of Democracy and Economic Affairs, to weigh in on the matter.
