The Health Ministry wants to expand private wings at public hospitals as part of a hybrid model termed “Rakan KKM” to address the financial sustainability of public healthcare. Critics argue that this could undermine universal healthcare which the government assures won't happen. Anwar Anis, Honorary Secretary at the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia shares his insights.
