In the midst of the Israel-Iran conflict, fears of a renewed global arms race have resurfaced, as Tehran hints at withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Dr Alvin Chew from the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies helps us understand the issues at stake including the current state of global nuclear weapons and the effectiveness of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
