Corruption is a widely acknowledged problem in the country, but how genuine and effective are measures to combat this issue? Former banker Tan Sri Nazir Razak recently suggested that Malaysia model anti-corruption efforts in Hong Kong, including an amnesty for mild corruption followed by a zero-tolerance approach.
