Manufacturing Sector: To Close Or Not To Close?

Last week, the Selangor government decided that only ‘truly essential’ economic services should remain open, while other economic activities in EMCO areas must remain closed until the restriction order is lifted.

On the other hand, many industries are pleading with the government to reconsider its decision to close sectors in areas under the EMCO, citing their struggles to recover and meet demands.

The Morning Run speaks to Malaysian Employers Federation Executive Director Datuk Shamsuddin Bardan about this, the state of SOPs, and the implications of all this on business.
