Penang International Airport Expansion Plan is Reaching to a Landing

The federal government has confirmed the expansion of the Penang International Airport to accommodate 20 million passengers per annum from the current capacity of 6.5 million passengers per annum which should allow it to cope until 2035.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says the expansion could cost up to 1.2 billion ringgit, however, there has been dispute that the expansion could cost only 700 million ringgit.
