Tun Dr Mahathir commiserated with common fears by saying Malaysia is not ready for nuclear energy. This will further spotlight the importance of other renewable energy like solar which has achieved parity with natural gas cost-wise. However the renewables target of 20% by 2025 is extremely ambitious given that we are now only at 2%.
